TV Debate Intro

As I’m sure you’ll appreciate, I’ve not got a huge amount of time to blog today – it being ‘Super Saturday’ in the rugby and all.

So with England still to play, and facing what now looks like a massive uphill struggle to win the Six Nations, it’s all been a bit worrying from an English perspective so far.

However, both Italy v Wales and Scotland v Ireland have been riveting games, and make a compelling argument in favour of the split kick-offs on the final weekend.

Tomorrow I shall be doing an in-depth piece analysing the pro’s and con’s of TV’s influence on sport. Particularly focussing on the debate surrounding TV’s executives’ stranglehold on the fixture lists of international sport and the Premier League
